University Facilitating Fund: Letters of Intent Due Friday, October 20, 2017

OVPR’s University Facilitating Fund (UFF) intramural competition supports the creation of new research projects and scholarly activities that will lead to applications for external funding and/or bring external recognition to GW.
Eligible faculty include:
  • active-status university faculty who are assistant professors, associate professors, assistant research professors, associate research professors or research scientists, who are continuing service at the university the following academic year; AND
  • have less than $100,000 of total active funding, unless submitting for a new field of research. (If this is a field of research for which the principal investigator (PI) has not received external funding, it may be considered new.)
  • faculty in SMHS, Milken Institute SPH, and Law may participate, but not serve as the PI of a UFF proposal.

A letter of intent is required no later than Friday, October 20, 2017, and can be completed using InfoReady. The full proposal is due Wednesday, December 6, 2017. A letter of intent is required to be eligible to submit a proposal. More details about UFF are available online. Email reshelp@gwu.edu with any questions or for more information.
