GW is fortunate to be among the select universities that have an NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), which currently provides unique opportunities for our faculty and students. Many of the assets offered through the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Children’s National Hospital (CTSI-CN), a partnership of Children’s National Medical Center and The George Washington University, are very relevant for public health. Our SPHHS faculty are increasingly involved. I encourage you to consider some of the unique opportunities offered through the CTSI-CN, including this upcoming training. Per CTSI-CN, “Among several goals …is the enhancement of the training and career development of clinical and translational scientists. A critical step towards achieving this goal is the fostering of a culture and use of best practices of mentorship at our institutions.” Check out the details!
