Event Planning AssistanceThe Milken Institute SPH Office of Communications Events Team plans, coordinates and manages all events held in reservable space in the Milken Institute SPH building. Reservable event space includes the convening center, first floor auditorium, case study room 700A and the B-level auditorium and rooms. An online event submission form must be completed for all proposed events using reservable space in the Milken Institute SPH building. Requests are reviewed on a daily basis but it can take up to 24-48 hours for the Events Team to respond to a request. In order to ensure adequate planning and support from the Events Team, requests must be made thirty days in advance of the event date. All events are subject to a strict review by the Events Team.

Milken Institute School of Public Health uses the GW centralized event calendar. This page and the newsletter sections, "This Week at SPH" in the Public Health faculty & staff newsletter and "Events This Week" in the Public Health student newsletter, display events which have been categorized as "Milken Institute School " in the "category" field of the event submission form. In order for your event to appear on our website you must select "Milken Institute School" in the event "category" field. Additionally, events categorized as "Milken Institute School " will also appear on the digital screens located on each floor of the Milken Institute building at 950 New Hampshire Ave. Events categorized as "Milken Institute School " will be reviewed and approved by the public health communications office staff, usually within one business day.
If you are student organization, please use the student organization submission form to submit your events and indicate in the notes that the event should also be categorized as "Milken Institute School of Public Health". For all others, submit events using the general submission form.
In addition to the Milken Institute School of Public Health category, you may choose to select additional categories for your event, such as "academics", "admissions," etc. If you select multiple categories, your submission will be approved by staff across campus responsible for each category (5 different categories selected = 5 different staff approvers), which may slightly slow the approval process for your event.
